@galaxis this is where I'm coming at it from now buts some of it is different. SSO using your eve account for forums, and lots of tools that can pull all sorts of info about your character and resources. Someone even made a website that is a lite version of a human resources tool.

When I was playing (over a decade ago), most of it was about dealing with social engineering and working out whom to trust with what.
Knowing game mechanics very well - how to set up your corp and alliance to protect your ingame resources and management access.
Some out of band infrastructure - forums, text and voice chat. Forums were hacked often, and everyone had spy alts everywhere, though some were much better at that than others.
